Halfway through a quick food break from the essay writing:

Partial success! The essay is almost complete (and probably would be finished if I hadn't been completely distracted by JB; but I'm more than willing to live with that particular cost) and I still have nine whole days to put it together.

Home--and bed--are calling. Now I just need to pack up half-million freakin' textbooks.

My general approach to essay writing is usually something like: leave it to the last minute, procrastinate more, and then hammer out a decent-ish piece of work at 4am the night before it's due.

Fortunately, I'm one of those lucky people who can generally bullshit their way to A.

Getting better at knife throwing--and I love that I lead a life where that isn't a metaphor. I've set up a cardboard box tied with a shoelace to my--collapsible--closet as a target, and I can now make the knife hit blade-first on eight out of ten throws. Long day, actually, but that's because I started it at 5am.
